Swimwear Designer Kirsti Grinna’s 2011 KGB & Kirsti Grinna Collection Soon to Hit Stores Nationwide
Kirsti’s newest work was inspired by varying works of Literature. Draped in ruffles, feminine hues, and lots and lots of romance, KGB gets its “frilly little girl” styling from Fairy Tales’ and Fables’ most romantic female characters. Imagine a day in the Enchanted Forest and you will imagine what KGB has in store for 2011. Add a modern slant on this vision and this reveals Kirsti’s mood while designing her newest collection of swimwear for the junior market.
“Kirsti Grinna Collection, her higher end, limited edition based collection of bikinis, is likewise inspired by the most famous writer of English Literature… Shakespeare. Visions of luxury, romance, and mystique surround the entire 2011 collection of beautifully styled swimwear and cover ups. Soft swimmable “Leathers” with baroque inspired hardware, skins with embellishments of stone, golden and silver laden solids and mythical prints in luscious color palettes all conjure up ideas of the lifestyle of another era. Living as Juliet for a day is something every girl secretly wishes and with Kirsti’s magical touch regarding her selections for the upcoming cruise season– that magic is attainable!” says Mr. Kirsti Grinna.
Kirsti Grinna hit the scene as a 14 year old high school freshman with a natural talent for art and fashion and eye for design most likely inherited from her veteran swimwear designing mother Tara Grinna. Her breakout collection, introduced at the Miami Swim Show was jr. focused and featured models wearing Russian hats and fur boots under the label KGB (referencing the Russian KGB as well as her initials Kirsti Grinna and “Bikinis”) and attracted the attention of the industry’s most respected buyers and editors alike. A suit from her first collection was featured in the famed Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and she became an instant hit in the world of fashion by introducing an influence on Russian culture that is still relevant today!
This collection of bikinis features opulence in fabrication and trims and has been well accepted by the “jet setter” who demands the highest in swim fashion made with exquisite detail in limited quantity, definitely not mass produced in a factory overseas. Made exclusively from European fabrics, each bikini is constructed in the USA inside the family’s factory in South Carolina with the utmost care from a team of quality craftsman.
“We have been very selective of the types of retailers who include Kirsti Collection bikinis in their mix of offerings”, Kirsti says. “It has been my goal to keep the production a bit limited so that demand always exceeds supply. It is and will continue to be my goal to design the best quality, most fashionable, but wearable swim garments for the select few who appreciate my art form.”
Just in time for the new collection, Kirsti Grinna also debuts her new websites at www.kirstigrinna-swimwear.com and www.kgb-swimwear.com that features large product images and zoom functions for an easy and pleasant shopping experience.
